Privacy Policy

1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is Astral Mood (hereinafter, "Astral Mood").

2. Data we process

This policy covers all Astral Mood services (the website and the mobile apps). Some categories of data are processed only in the features or apps that offer them. We may process the following categories of personal data:

- Identification and account data: email, name, username, encrypted password.
- Profile and usage data: preferences, interactions, in-app activity and settings.
- Technical and analytics data: IP address, a random per-install identifier (not an advertising or hardware device identifier), security logs and product-usage events (screens viewed and basic interactions), associated with your account.
- Content you enter into the AI assistant: the text of the questions you type.
- Birth data (date, time and place) and other astrological data: only in the Astral Mood services that offer natal charts or compatibility. The Astral Mood Astronomy app does not collect birth or astrological data.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process your data for the following purposes:

- Providing the service and managing your account (legal basis: performance of the contract, art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Security, fraud prevention and regulatory compliance (legal basis: legitimate interest and, where applicable, legal obligation; art. 6.1.c and 6.1.f GDPR).
- Our own marketing communications, only if you expressly accept them (legal basis: consent, art. 6.1.a GDPR).
- Product improvement and usage analytics (legal basis: legitimate interest and/or consent, depending on the type of processing).

4. Data retention

We will keep your data for as long as you maintain an active account or for as long as necessary to provide the service. After you close your account, we may keep blocked data for the periods required by law to address potential liabilities.

5. Recipients and processors

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. We only share it with providers acting as data processors, under contract and with adequate safeguards, to the extent needed to provide the service, or where legally required:

- Amazon Web Services (AWS): infrastructure and data storage, in the European Union.
- PostHog: product analytics. It receives app-usage events (screens viewed, basic interactions, app version and platform), associated with your account (including your email) to attribute activity. Not used for advertising. Hosted in the European Union.
- Anthropic: AI assistant. When you use the assistant, the text you type is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the response. Per Anthropic's commercial API terms, this content is not used to train their models.
- Apple and Google: process authentication information when you choose "Sign in with Apple" or "Sign in with Google".
- Transactional email provider: to send you verification emails and service notices.

6. International transfers

When we use providers located outside the European Economic Area, we will apply the safeguards required by the GDPR (such as standard contractual clauses or other valid mechanisms).

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and you can withdraw your consent for marketing communications at any time.

If you believe we have not processed your data in accordance with the regulations, you can file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD): https://www.aepd.es.

8. Minors

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use Astral Mood. The service is intended for a general audience (including secondary-school students aged 13 and over) and is not directed at children under 13. If we detect an account created by a child under 13, we may cancel it and delete its data. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you must use the service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect regulatory or service changes. We will publish the current version on this page and indicate its update date.
